Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator

12+ month contract. Likely to extend/option to hire.

Client: A major global food corporation and leader in their industry with annual revenue over $100B and employing over 250,000.

Overview:

This role will provide support the logistics supervisor. Develop core understandings of transportation management and SAP software to enhance a pilot plant facility. Ensure appropriate raw material ordering and receiving, and schedule trials in a timely manner.

Role:

Support logistics supervisor on a daily basis with ordering of raw materials.

Work with product development staff to schedule pilot plant trials.

Ensure the pilot plant resources are available to execute schedule.

Follow and uphold all food safety, food quality, occupational safety, health and environment policies and procedures in responsibility.

Verify company standards for pricing are followed while creating purchase orders.

Qualifications:

3 – 7+ experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment.

Experience in coordinating logistics and ordering of raw materials in a food manufacturing environment.

SAP and transportation management software experience is a plus.

Experince in a pilot plant environment is a plus.

Basic knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Skilled in use of Microsoft Office tools.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Strong organizational & planning skills.
