Opportunity Overview â Financial Analyst
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Financial Analyst to support operations and finance through data-driven insights and strategic reporting. This individual will play a key role in translating numbers into actionable business decisions. The ideal candidate is not only great with data but also understands the operational context behind the numbers, and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environmentâ especially working with finance and operations teams.
What You'll Be Doing
The role blends financial planning, operational analysis, and business intelligence to help the client stay on track, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
Gathering and analyzing data related to vehicle operations and other key business processes
Tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the division and broader business
Developing automated tools and reporting solutions to support key operational areas
Assisting in the creation of financial forecasts and annual budgets, and presenting findings to leadership
Investigating financial results, identifying trends and variances, and preparing internal reports
Supporting month-end close processes and digging into any significant deviations
Ensuring accuracy in financial data and helping uphold integrity in financial reporting
Designing and maintaining models that highlight business drivers and predict trends
Using tools like Power BI to build dashboards and deliver insights to stakeholders
Partnering with operational teams to review system entries and processes
Taking on ad hoc reporting and project support as needed
Acting as a go-to resource for financial and performance data across the business
What They're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus
At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role
Advanced Excel skills are essential; familiarity with Power BI, NetSuite, or other ERP/BI tools is a strong advantage
Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact across departments
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a strong sense of accountability
