JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Supervisor will perform maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the building’s employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately fulfills the service-level agreements (SLAs)
Supervises Closeout, Packing, Dock, and Facility employees and oversee daily operations
Motivates and coaches warehouse employees for maximum productivity while adhering to all compliance and safety regulations
Ensures general maintenance and inspections of machinery used in warehouse
Enforces all company rules and regulations and ensures SOPS and policy documentation are being adhered to
Owns PIT certification process
Shares performance feedback with subordinates and documents coaching conversations
Manages budget and identifies cost savings initiatives
Oversee preventative maintenance planning and execution for warehouse equipment and facilities (preventing mechanical failures and loss of operational capacity due to downtime)
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
Manage external vendors to execute maintenance activities (scheduling, cost management, quality control, etc.)
Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior facilities, proactively identifying issues
Manage maintenance and facilities costing; make data-driven decisions based on financial implications of various options for maintaining the facility and equipment
Ensure maintenance spend is aligned with business needs and cost-efficient
Communicate timelines for maintenance and repairs to business stakeholders
Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
Ensure task-relevant safety procedures are followed for all work performed in the facilities
Monitor and approve employee timecards daily
Performs other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES
Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages external maintenance vendors
Oversees Closeout, Packing, Dock, and facility personnel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required
Four year-degree or equivalent work experience in Outbound Facilities Management preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times
Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
Requires frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring equipment and materials
