Job Description

Our Collections department is currently seeking three (3) highly motivated Collectors to join the team. The Collector will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses with delinquent property taxes to arrange payments or set up payment schedules. This position involves both inbound and outbound calls, along with accurate record-keeping of all collection activity. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have a strong background in customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to transfer customer-facing experience into a collections setting.

Responsibilities:

• Make and receive calls to negotiate and arrange debt repayment

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all collection activities

• Review accounts to determine collection efforts required

• Follow up with customers regarding payment schedules or missed payments

• Use Microsoft Office and internal systems to manage account records

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Self-motivated, punctual, and a team player

• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills

The base pay range for this position is $33,280 annually ($16/hour), excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, location, and internal equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
