Position Summary

The PM Corporate and National Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of PM Corporate Operations and Shared Services and the Director of National PM Operations in managing and optimizing multifamily property operations. This role will focus on building and maintaining core PM SOPs, participating heavily in technology pilots and implementation, enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring effective written and verbal communication between properties and key departments such as Property Management, Maintenance Operations, Accounting, Marketing and Training all in the support of the larger corporate and national strategies, processes and projects. The PM Corporate and National Operations Manager will also be instrumental in special projects and must be able to work independently while a part of a larger team.

Essential Functions

Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the multifamily property management portfolio with the Director, ensuring all properties are managed efficiently and effectively. This includes addressing many if not all of the day to day operational issues, and identifying opportunities for best practices to enhance property management efficiency and performance.

Technology Implementation: Be a key member of assessing new and existing proptech to improve property management processes both for PM and potentially residents. Able to research and identify cutting-edge technologies and tools that can streamline operations, improve efficiency, and elevate the resident experience. Be a part of the team to implement and ensure seamless integration and training for staff. Regularly review and update technology strategies to stay ahead of industry trends. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful project completion within budget and scope

Financial Analysis and Performance Reporting: Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and performance metrics to ensure the financial health and compliance of the property management portfolio. Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed. Monitor and analyze property performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to implement corrective actions and optimize property performance. Regularly report on performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the SVP of Corporate Operations & Shared Services, Director of National PM Operations and peer groups (Property Operations, Maintenance Operations, Marketing, Training, Accounting, IT, etc) to develop and execute new processes, training, etc. Be able to build effective relationships and partnerships across the organizations and functions.

Special Projects: Conduct, lead and/or contribute any and all PM special projects

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years of Property Management Operations experience

Ideal to have Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, Marketing or similar subject

Strategic & Critical Thinking: Being able to ask the right questions, be thoughtful and think through

Problem-Solving and Solutions Oriented: Ability to identify and address operational issues effectively and quickly

Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of property management software (Entrata, Yardi) and technology tools and technologically savvy in general

Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and performance metrics.

Project Management: Proven ability to participate and contribute to projects.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to property management.

Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
