Cimtech is looking for a highly detailed, persistent and self-motivating professional focused on production quality.
Schedule: 10am - 10pm Monday - Thursday (Enjoy a 3 day weekend EVERY week)
Job Overview: This position requires the use of precision measuring instruments. The quality technician will be responsible for maintaining and recording instrument calibration and calibration intervals. The quality technician will be trained on a new Vision Measuring Machine (VMM) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
This position requires creating and maintaining quality documentation per customer or internal specifications. The quality technician should have a familiarity with modern quality practices such as ASME & ISO all while maintaining close communication with shop supervisors, quality engineer, and operators to trouble shoot production quality issues.
Skills:
High School diploma or GED; 2 or 4 year technical degree is a plus
Interpret vernier scales
Familiar with common precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges
Knowledge of or experience with PPAP process preferred - Design/Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis(D FMEA/P FMEA)
Experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Familiar with Keyence IM-8000 or XM-5000 series inspection equipment
Read and interpret machine and fabrication drawings
Has knowledge of or can understand dimensional standards. For example, ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Standard or ISO geometrical product specifications (GPS)
Has a firm understanding to train on optical comparators
Has an understanding of welding symbols; Knowledge of ASME or Section IX weld codes are not required but is a plus.
Comfortable being near or around large CNC machines.
