Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Commercial Electricians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems for commercial buildings, with the expertise to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The role requires a commitment to safety, technical proficiency, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Electrical Systems: Install wiring, conduit, and other electrical components in new commercial constructions, renovations, and service upgrades.
Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, control systems, and power distribution.
Blueprint and Technical Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure all work meets code and project specifications.
Code Compliance: Ensure that installations and repairs meet all state and local electrical codes and regulations.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Use tools such as multimeters, voltmeters, and other testing devices to identify issues and confirm functionality of electrical systems.
Safety and Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation and Reporting: Complete detailed reports, track job progress, and communicate updates to supervisors and clients. Requirements
Experience: 4+ years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on commercial buildings
Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; valid electrician's license required; OSHA 30 certification
Technical Skills: Proficient in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components in commercial settings
Knowledge of Codes: Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment as needed
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
Teamwork and Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with energy-efficient lighting, control systems, and commercial generator systems
Experience working in specialized commercial environments, such as hospitals, schools, office buildings, or retail centers
