Assistant Controller

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports To: Controller / CFO

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes

Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Help implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements

Collaborate with external auditors during audits and tax preparations

Utilize Acumatica ERP for financial reporting, data analysis, and transaction tracking

Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Controller Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of progressive accounting experience

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

CPA designation or progress toward CPA a plus Preferred Experience:

Background in a multi-entity or project-based environment

Working knowledge of Acumatica

Familiarity with payroll processes and sales/use tax reporting

Prior experience in manufacturing or construction is a plus
