Shipping Supervisor

Location: Austin, Texas

Department: Operations

Job Purpose

The Shipping Supervisor will ensure compliance to all company and business policies and administer all open sales orders and ensure appropriate workflow while maintaining communication with all departments as it pertains to shipping needs. Responsible for training and development of shipping staff.

Essential Job Functions

Manage and oversee all daily aspects of the Shipping Department

Collaborate with Marketing Team and Sales Team on the production of marketing material

Maintain and track inventory of all outgoing electronic equipment for company

Track, resolve and update stakeholders of any issues with orders

Receive and fulfill orders in a timely, efficient manner

Manage internal and external customer relationships related to shipping needs

Manage service agreements with print vendors, shipping partners, and all other POS vendors.

Digital printing and related bindery work

Manage and maintain office supply inventory

Ensure the department is clean, organized and presentable at all times

Assist in maintaining community breakroom and cleanliness

Process incoming and outgoing mail

Answer phone calls, provide online customer service

Implement and maintain scalability of the department to handle incremental volumes of work

Produce department monthly KPIs

Coach, Train, and Develop Shipping Team

Assist with staffing which includes contacting potential candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and input on release of employee(s)

Assist with daily internal office operations, ensuring office efficiency is maintained by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, layouts, and office systems

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience managing/overseeing Shipping operations

Team training, development, and management

Ability to make decisions, resolve problems, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing environment.

Strong working knowledge of receiving, put-away, pick, pack, ship, and inventory control practices, including discrepancy reconciliation, root cause analysis, and corrective action.

Data Entry, Inventory Management

Digital printing background and understanding of printing functions is a plus

General administrative and office duties

Customer Service and issue resolution

High proficiency with MS Office & Windows OS, SmartSheet, NetSuites, QuikBooks, Shipstation or similar applications

Immaculate attention to detail is a must
