Must be able to pass a 6G welding test. Able to read print layout and build vessel.
General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, above average communication and organizational skills. Above all must be a team player with high level of dedication. Piping and tester assembly, basic botting and tore experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Ability to assess weights and judge distance and heights is necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Properly maintains all parts and equipment pertaining to specific work duties.
Operates equipment used in welding operations including welding machine, weld rod, appropriate safety equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Accurately reads prints as required.
Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedge or template to ensure conformance with specifications.
Dismantles metal assemblies or cut scrap metal, using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment.
Climbs ladders or works on scaffolding as required.
