Overview:
The individual will work in the Liquidity Management (LM) team within Citi Treasury Global Function. The team is responsible for establishing the framework for sizing liquidity requirements, including the internal stress testing framework and interpreting regulation in conjunction with other stakeholders within and outside Citi’s Treasury function, providing liquidity oversight to Citi’s global entities, and ensuring that Citi maintains adequate liquidity appropriately positioned to meet the company’s global needs both in normal market conditions as well as during periods of stress.
Scope of Collateral Analysis Team:
The Collateral Analysis Team manages the Liquid & Readily Marketable Testing and liquidity collateral monitoring framework and capabilities representing Citi’s efforts across multiple stakeholders, including business, risk, functions, and regulators. The group spearheads strategic projects supporting regulatory, internal audit and second line feedback. In addition, the team is responsible for Treasury’s Recovery and Resolution planning efforts in relation to collateral management. We are seeking a Financial Services analyst (preferably at a major US Bank) with 2-8 years of experience in collateral management or liquidity management cross-functional programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to Citi’s Recovery and Resolution planning workstream
Participate in the development, enhancement, maintenance and review of analysis and capabilities supporting liquidity collateral monitoring and Liquid & Readily Marketable Testing
Support Citi’s daily reporting and monitoring framework related to High Quality Liquid Assets (HQLA) and non-HQLA collateral
Perform the analysis behind Citi’s collateral positions and funding patterns
Participate in the exercise to document requirements for HQLA eligibility and associated criteria for testing securities qualification
Participate in testing securities for qualification as Liquid & Readily Marketable and of collateral monitoring capabilities for HQLA and non-HQLA securities
Specialized Skills:
The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of liquidity management, be eager to learn the work associated with collateral analysis and Recovery and Resolution planning, be a change-agent to effectively implement process improvements and help the team execute towards the target state. The candidate needs a solid working knowledge of liquidity concepts and metrics such as US Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), US Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) and internal stress testing. The candidate must be a team player and collaborate across different levels and functions in the organization. The individual needs to be an innovative self-starter, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate with various groups.
Qualifications:
2 - 8 years of experience in one or more of Recovery and Resolution Planning, Treasury, Finance, Liquidity Management or Collateral Management
Ability to work in a high-energy environment leading team with daily duties
Ability to take ownership and execute on deliverables
Highly organized with a focus on timely completing deliverables and meeting deadlines
Team player with ability to work well with others
Strong attention to detail
Strong quantitative skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
Prior experience with Python.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree; MBA/advanced degree is a plus
