Job Description
As an Assembly Technician I, you will work on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. You will be part of the Assembly team, performing various repetitive processes using machines and hand tools to complete the assembly and sub-assembly of component parts.
Responsibilities
Work in the Assembly Cell to put together sub-assemblies, add caps, ensure they are aligned, and run through the press machine.
Conduct quality checks and pack finished coolers into shipping containers.
Test units using air pressure and remove plates after assembly.
Work in the Bundle Department according to work orders, set up baffles into fixtures, and use calipers to measure distance between end baffles and copper tube ends.
Insert 'Cores' into the casting and prepare for pinning and pressing processes.
Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance.
Ensure all quality standards are met through visual inspection and measuring devices.
Keep work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly.
Perform necessary computer transactions in various applications and software programs.
Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed.Essential Skills
Mechanically inclined with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work with both hands.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic (MDAS, decimals).
Direct manufacturing assembly experience is a plus.Work Environment
You will work on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. The facility has undergone significant upgrades, ensuring a clean and climate-controlled environment. Ergonomic considerations are prioritized, with a strong safety record. Team sizes vary from 3 to 6 individuals, and the facility hosts over 75 employees. The dress code requires PPE, including steel toe boots, long work pants, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a safety vest.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
