Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Graph Database Administrator to join their team! This role will support Neo4j and Cypher development across multiple teams within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will bring over three years of DBA experience, strong scripting abilities, and an active TS/SCI clearance.
Manage and maintain Neo4j database systems for high availability and performance
Design, implement, and maintain graph database schemas to meet business requirements
Tune Cypher queries and indexes to improve database efficiency and responsiveness
Implement and manage database security protocols to protect sensitive data
Establish and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Neo4j environments
Collaborate with development teams to provide database guidance and support
Monitor database health and performance using appropriate tools and dashboards
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with Neo4j or similar graph databases
Hands-on experience with Cypher query language
Expertise in Neo4j deployment, configuration, and administration
Strong understanding of graph theory and data modeling techniques
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for hosting Neo4j
Knowledge of database monitoring tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
