Tig Welder

We are now accepting resumes/applications for EXPERIENCED Tig Welders for the Port Allen, LA and surrounding area.

Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following: Job Scope: Welding on Wall Duct Piping Required Skills: Must have pipe welding and fabricating experience Must be able to weld in various positions Must be able to read and understand blueprint drawings.

Excellent math skills with ability to efficiently read a tape measure Excellent problem solving skills Excellent communication skills Demonstrate strong work ethic Demonstrate consistency in quality of work Duties/Responsibilities: May layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe or templates Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools Clamps, holds, tack-welds, grinds, and bolts components to position for welding.

Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Operates cutting equipment including torches and various power and hand tools Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.

Safely operates iron worker, grinders, overhead cranes, rigging, pipe threading machine, welding machine, and various pneumatic hand tools Assembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with minimal supervision Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.

Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments Ability to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when required Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock Documents Required: Driver's License/Identification Card Social Security Card/Birth Certificate Must be able to pass a drug test.

Must have reliable transportation Must have own welding shield and PPE (hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses.) Pay: $30.00/Hour Weekly Pay Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday Schedule: Monday - Friday (Weekends (as needed) 10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting) Duration of Job: Approximately 3 months Tasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required.
