Systems Administrator (On-site)

This job expects to pay about: $43 - 47 per hour plus benefits
We are in need of a Systems Administrator on a contract to hire basis to join one of our manufacturing clients. The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's IT infrastucture, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related technologies. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, managing network servers, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing the company's Azure cloud infrastucture, ensuring it's optimal performance, security, and scalability.
What You Will Do:
Install, configure, and maintain physical servers, virtual servers, Azure cloud services, software, hardware, and networks.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Help manage and support Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, and security policies.
Ensure security through configuration and management of Azure Entra access controls and the Microsoft Defender Administration Console.
Respond to system alerts and end-user tickets to quickly diagnose problems and coach end-users through software and hardware-related resolutions.
Perform "root cause analysis" when the Service Desk escalates problems/tickets and implement recommended improvements to address systemic level issues.
Particpate in the IT Teams weekend on-call support rotation and perform necessary after-hours server, network, system maintenance, and other technical updates.
Occasional travel to branch offices to provide on-site user and network support, provision new offices, and de-commission closing offices.
Inventory new equipment and software and perform periodic audits of deployed assets.
Prepare and publish self-help documentation for IT support reference and common "how to" problems into the knowledge base.
Assit in training and mentoring junior technicians and new team members.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team to drive innovation and enhance service delivery.
What Gets You The Job:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure/Entra/Defender.
Strong working knowledge of MS365 with administration experience.
Proficient with InTune - config/setup, deployment, MDM, policies, etc.
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
Advanced technical skills and credentials, including network administration, system administration, and cloud administration (e.g. MCSE, MC Azure Solutions Architect).
Strong working knowledge of Active Directory - ability to create/modify/disable accounts.
Proven mastery of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
Experience with environments of 800 users or more preferred.
Excellent documentation, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with the following technologies:
MS Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Microsoft Teams, Outlook/Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online
Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services
Meraki network devices, including switches, firewalls and WAPs
Wi-Fi/VPN/Mobile Access
ServiceNow ticket management and Autotask Datto Kaseya for RMM
Proofpoint Email/SPAM filtering
Microsoft Certified Professional and A+ certification preferred.
Certified Network Associate credential is a plus.
