Title: Revenue Cycle Specialist

Location: REMOTE (must reside in below states)

Pay: $18-20/hr depending on experience and state

We are a rapidly growing and leading physical therapy (PT) clinic platform in the U.S., operating over 200 PT clinics providing outpatient rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy, and more.

We are seeking an independent, detail-oriented Medical Collector with strong experience in handling insurance denials, appeals, and accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered.

This is a full-time remote position (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday).

Key Responsibilities:

Manage primary and secondary insurance claims

Proactively work denials and submit appeals to insurance companies

Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (A/R)

Respond to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and internal departments

Collaborate with clinics to identify and resolve issues affecting account balances

Review and act on correspondence to resolve claim issues

Ensure daily activities contribute toward the company’s A/R goals

Research and resolve accounts in follow-up queues

Utilize the most effective tools and systems to ensure timely and accurate payment

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Minimum 2 years of medical collections or A/R follow-up experience

Demonstrated knowledge of insurance denials, appeals, and claims resolution

Understanding of medical claims processing and payer guidelines

Ability to read and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)

Familiarity with insurance systems and billing regulations (State and Federal)

Strong knowledge of medical terminology
