A global leader in the design and manufacturing of severe service valves is seeking a CNC Lathe and 4 Axis Mill Machine Operator. The ideal candidate is experienced in machine operations (set-up and operate) with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Working with minimal supervision, the new team members will improve operational efficiency by ensuring precise machining processes while maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the production process.

Training program for manual machinist to learn CNC Machines
Location: Houston, TX 77092
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: 6:00 AMâ 4:30 PM Monday-Thursday
Responsibilities:
Experience of CNC Lathe and 4 Axis Mill.
Install chuck jaws and or fixtures on machine.
Set-Up CNC Machines using edge finder or probe to locate program zero.
Read in and adjust program speeds, feeds, depth of cuts as required.
Machine part to drawing.
Measure part, complete inspection report and adjust offsets.
May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
At least 5 years of experience of CNC Machines and Manual Machines
Must be able to read and understand G-Codes and M-Codes using Fanuc controls.
Able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
Experience is machining valve components is a plus
Must be able to machine exotic machines materials such as Titanium and Inconel
Ability to read blueprints and specifications and produce precision work
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
Exhibit a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
Work well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time
