Job Title: Phlebotomist (Part-Time, Government Facility) Location: Columbus, OH Pay Rate: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour Schedule: 3 flexible 8-hour weekday shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 30-minute unpaid lunch) Job Type: Contract / Part-Time — Position Summary: A-Line Staffing is seeking a skilled and professional Phlebotomist to join the team at a government facility.

This contract, part-time position offers flexible weekday scheduling and is ideal for individuals with strong venipuncture skills and a passion for public health service.

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for interviewing donors, performing blood draws, and preparing specimens for transport while maintaining safety and procedural compliance.

— Primary Responsibilities: • Interview potential donors to collect and evaluate medical history • Take blood pressure and determine donor eligibility based on established criteria • Prepare donor and collection area for blood draw procedures • Perform venipuncture to collect blood donations or clinical specimens • Label specimens accurately and prepare for transport to external laboratories • Centrifuge and separate blood specimens as needed • Monitor donors and patients for adverse reactions after venipuncture • Sterilize and clean equipment; dispose of medical waste according to protocol • Maintain phlebotomy supplies and prepare logs, reports, and transport documentation • Answer or place calls related to specimen status and test results — Minimum Qualifications: • At least 6 months of training or experience in venipuncture/phlebotomy and basic medical data collection • Experience taking blood pressure and determining donor/patient eligibility • Ability to interview patients and maintain professional rapport • CPR certification • Valid Ohio Medical License/Phlebotomy Certification • COVID-19 vaccination card or exemption letter — This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and compassionate Phlebotomist seeking flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful public health mission.
