Employment Type: Exempt 220 day contract
Position Overview:
RideSmart Ohio is a dynamic transportation innovation addressing student access gaps across Ohio. We are seeking a forward-thinking RideSmart Ohio Supervisor to oversee daily operations, support drivers and districts, and lead the expansion of this critical program. This role requires someone who blends strong administrative skills with technology fluency, possess a deep understanding of school transportation systems, and has a passion for innovation and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison for RideSmart Ohio, representing the program to school districts, transportation coordinators, legislators, and community partners
Oversee program implementation, including driver onboarding, route management, and technology usage (including Trust-Ed software)
Provide training, technical assistance, and ongoing communication with drivers and school personnel
Support the recruitment, credentialing, and retention of high-quality drivers
Monitor compliance, safety protocols, and data reporting systems to ensure program fidelity
Lead presentations, briefings, and informational sessions tailored to specific audiences
Collaborate with Human Resources and administrative teams to align RideSmart operations with school district and ESC policies
Analyze data and feedback to recommend program improvements and innovations Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in school administration, pupil transportation, or education services
Working knowledge of transportation laws, McKinney-Vento Act, and student safety requirements
Strong human resource management skills, including onboarding and personnel support
Technologically proficient, especially in transportation platforms, data tools, and scheduling systems
Excellent communicator-capable of simplifying complex processes for multiple stakeholders
Spirit of innovation and a grounded understanding of how to responsibly serve students and families

Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Education, Public Administration, or related field preferred
3-5 years of administrative, transportation, or school operations experience
