Conversion Project Manager

The Client is a cutting-edge enterprise-class 100 percent open API cloud-native innovation platform and transaction processing engine. It is agnostic to asset classes, currencies, and time zones, catering to banking, fintech, and embedded finance sectors. They offer scalability with adaptiveness to change, harnessing the cloud's resiliency and elasticity to design and launch new products with agility and precision without technology upheaval.

Position Overview:

We are seeking Project Managers which will be a client-facing role, responsible for managing and delivering core banking conversion transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

Lead the implementation of core conversion initiatives, including data mapping of existing data to the client, File Cut and Mock Conversion efforts.

Develop detailed project plans, define scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, IT, compliance, and third-party vendors.

Monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget. Stakeholder Communication

Lead status meetings with internal teams, client team and additional third-party vendors

Ensure alignment with internal policies, industry best practices, and risk management frameworks.

Provide progress reports and escalate critical risks or delays. Data Mapping & Conversion Execution

Coordinate data mapping from legacy systems to the clients environment.

Oversee data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL) and validation across accounts, transaction, customer information, loans, etc. Testing & Quality Assurance

Lead initiatives to ensure business units and teams are engaging in testing plans, including unit testing, file cut validation, mock conversions and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Oversee the identification and resolution of issues in test environments before next cutover. Mock and Conversion Weekend Management

Lead the cutover weekend including freeze periods, final data migration and validation.

Coordinate go/no-go decision making and ensure rollback plans are in place. Mock and Conversion Support & Issue Resolution

Oversee monitor of post-conversion system performance during warranty period.

Track issues, prioritize fixes and communicate timelines for resolution. Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field.

5+ years of project management experience in banking, payments, or financial services.

Strong knowledge of core payment systems (ACH, RTP, SWIFT, SEPA, FedNow, Wire Transfers, etc.).

Experience with payment gateways, digital wallets, and card networks.

Familiarity with financial regulations (PSD2, PCI-DSS, AML, ISO 20022, NACHA).

Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Trello, etc.).

PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience:

Conversions of financial institutions.

Knowledge of FinTech integrations and API-based banking.

Hands-on experience in banking software (Temenos, FIS, Fiserv, ACI, etc.).
