Position Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, people-focused Project Manager to lead field operations at a project site in Texas City, TX. This role will manage 10-15 direct reports onsite, serve as the primary point of contact for the client, and oversee general labor and logistics operations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with a solid background in logistics, light equipment operation, plumbing and carpentry.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of 10-15 field staff at project sites.
Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the client, maintaining strong, professional relationships.
Attend and contribute to daily and weekly client meetings.
Coordinate field logistics, scheduling, and staffing needs in collaboration with Operations.
Oversee rental equipment on site, including inventory tracking, proper usage, and vendor communication.
Manage basic on-site labor operations including light equipment operation and general tasks related to plumbing and carpentry.
Communicate job expectations and updates clearly to Team Leads and crew.
Monitor job performance, ensure billing accuracy, and meet customer-specific requirements.
Maintain consistent communication with field teams to ensure safety, productivity, and job satisfaction.
Accurately input employee time into the payroll system and ensure timely invoicing.
Enforce and uphold PK Safety's safety standards and organizational values on site. Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
4-7 years of related experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Previous experience in logistics and general labor services is required.
Background in safety services or soft craft trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing) is a strong plus.
Experience managing equipment and working with third-party vendors is preferred. Licensure:
Valid driver's license required.
Forklift Certification
Skid Steer Certification Skills & Abilities:
Proven leadership and team management skills in a field-based environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Basic proficiency with tools, light equipment, and site operations.
Ability to read and interpret job scopes, plans, and technical documentation.
Competence with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with scheduling and billing systems is a plus.
Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing physical duties as needed. Additional Requirements:
Available for 24-hour on-call support and capable of working 12-hour shifts.
Willingness to respond to emergency site needs.
