Scope of the position:
• Provide Quality Assurance expertise to the Quality department to ensure the Quality System is of the highest standard.
• Safeguard the quality of all products produced through NCR/ CAPA and complaint investigations to ensure all customer & regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a quality system compliant to the IATF 16949: 2016 standard and all applicable regulations under associated Directives.
• Maintain the document control system to ensure the control of quality system documents and records as per the requirements of the relevant international standards.
• Co-ordinate/ perform investigations on production related issues in conjunction with QC Technicians to ensure all customer & regulatory requirements are met.
• Maintain all quality system metrics for reporting at Management Review.
• Maintain and manage the calibration system as required.
• Maintain and manage training related to quality management system documents.
• Internal audit team leader. Schedule, track and ensure timely completion of internal audits.
• Track completion of all activities associated with all open non-conformances (NCRs) & CAPAs.
• Support the batch file review and approval process as required.
What we are looking for:
• Minimum of 4 yrs. experience in product quality position, with direct experience in quality system compliance.
• Requires a 4-yr engineering degree or substitute experience; graduate degree in engineering, technical or management discipline is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and other technical documents. Understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards and GD&T dimensioning required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of APQP, Core Tools, and creation of PPAP's.
• Ability to use SolidWorks for gauge/tooling design preferable.
• Previous experience with CMM programming, 3D scanning, or FARO arm use preferred.
• Knowledge of quality inspection tools and methods required. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and methods also preferable.
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, IATF 16949, VDA6.3, CSR's Quality Systems required.
• Knowledge of TQM, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles preferable.
• Knowledge of blow molding, injection molding, and assembly processes desirable.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Experience in Metrology/Faro Arm/Polyworks software preferable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge or MRP or ERP software preferable.
• Exceptional analytical and computational skills. Knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of creativity and innovation.
• Demonstrated decision-making capability.
