Payroll, Sr. Specialist

Location: Seattle (Remote)

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside near one of our office locations and comfortable working west coast business hours (PST).

Our teams include Information Technology, Legal, Information Security & Governance, Marketing, Operations, Finance & Accounting, People, and our Executive Office.

What You'll Do

Support bi-weekly payroll processing for U.S. & Canada

Process international assignee payrolls

Perform payroll auditing

Manage quarterly tax filing and reconciliation

Process tax amendments

Compliance reporting including new hires, multiple worksite, and Bureau of Labor Statistics

Work closely with partners in Compensation, Benefits, & Operations

Collaborate with the Finance team regarding payroll and tax account balancing

Special projects as assigned by management to improve the effectiveness of the Human Resources function

Facilitate year-end tasks

Perform system updates for GL changes

Respond to employee payroll inquiries via case management system

Process manual payments as needed What You'll Bring

Communication and Customer Service Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent business and employee customer service skills.

Organizational and Technical Skills: Strong planning and organization skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.

Attention to Detail and Problem Solving: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and creativity skills.

Teamwork and Professionalism: Ability to work well within a team environment and individually, always maintains professional composure.

Sense of Urgency and Positive Attitude: Works with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality or accuracy, maintains energetic and positive attitude. Qualifications

3+ years of payroll experience

CPP preferred

Workday Software experience is a plus

Multi-state and local tax proficiency

Working knowledge of General Ledger as it relates to payroll

Ability to work in a professional environment and handle confidential information

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the targeted base pay range is $59,000 to $85,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
