Job Title: Operator 1
Job Description
The Operator 1 is entrusted with ensuring the company maintains its high industry standards by producing quality products for its customers. This role involves the handling of raw materials, partnering with Quality Control to test materials and products, blending high volume cellulose powder, packaging finished goods, and maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-driven atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Mix high volume cellulose powder into a blender.
Monitor manufacturing processes diligently.
Shut down and internally clean the process equipment.
Continuously monitor equipment and instrumentation safely, with minimal guidance.
Ensure all documentation is cGMP compliant.
Adhere to safety and quality protocols, including wearing uniforms, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hardhats, and hearing protection.
Perform equipment maintenance and improvements.
Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.
Perform general tasks such as cleaning and disinfecting work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment with detergents.Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in cGMP manufacturing.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proficient math skills.
Ability to read and comprehend English.
Ability to lift and move 50lbs on a regular basis.
Mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor.
Proficiency in machine operation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with chemical manufacturing and mixing.

Work Environment
The position is on the Starch line, with a choice between day and night shifts following a 2-2-3 schedule. The manufacturing environment is temperature-controlled, and the candidate will work within a team of four, receiving responsibilities from the shift supervisor. The company culture is strong, fostering team interactions, and the environment is focused on work-first mentality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.00/hr.
