Description

The Install Technician for installing, dismantling, reconstructing, and programming the wireless home security systems in a customer’s home or small business.

Duties and Responsibilities of Residential/Small Business Installer:

Responsible for all pre and post installation tasks such as configuration and installation of wireless applications and monitoring for home computer and network. Could also include mobile devices.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

- Installs company application and configures monitoring applications for home network and mobile devices

- Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.

- Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.

- Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.

- Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.

Experience:

- Experience with equipment installation (TV’s, dish, speakers, A/V equipment, etc.)

- Technical aptitude to configure, basic troubleshooting, and networking skills.

Skills:

- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.

- Ability to operate hand and power tools.

- Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.

- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Other:

- Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record.

- Must have a reliable vehicle that is able to transport at least a 4' fiberglass ladder. Can have a sedan if they have a place to store excess parts.
