Holman Auto Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Reconditioning Manager to join their team in Beaverton, OR!

What will you do?

Oversee the entire pre-delivery and reconditioning process from vehicle intake through front-line readiness. This includes mechanical inspection, repairs, detailing, cosmetic restoration, photographs, and final quality control.

Meet dealership turn time expectations.

Hire, train, mentor and manage a diverse team of technicians, detailers, and parts/service personnel. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Analyze PDI and reconditioning timelines, identify process bottlenecks, and implement improvements to reduce average days in recon.

Process map to streamline operations and increase vehicle throughput without compromising quality.

Manage relationships with third party vendors including the monitoring of turnaround times and ensure quality of outsourced work aligns with intercompany standards.

Establish and enforce quality control procedures for each stage of the PDI and reconditioning process. Ensure vehicles meet OEM and dealership cosmetic and mechanical standards before being made available for sale.

Oversee, track and maintain PDI and reconditioning supplies and parts inventory to avoid delays.

Track and control reconditioning costs on a per-unit and monthly basis. Monitor labor hours, parts usage, and vendor expenses.

Review financial reports to identify savings opportunities and implement strategies to lower cost-per-vehicle without compromising quality.

Ensure cross departmental collaboration by working closely with sales, service and the acquisition team to ensure vehicle readiness aligns with inventory needs and marketing plans.

Maintain accurate record of PDI and reconditioning work in dealership management system (CDK) and recon tracking software. This includes measuring team productivity.

Use data to drive decisions and support continuous improvement.

Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety, environmental and industry regulations.

Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong presentation skills

Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback and provides development opportunities within own area of responsibility or department

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus

3-5+ years’ experience, including 2+ at a leadership level

Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Total Target Compensation: Starting at $120,000/annually (DOE)

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $64,600.00 - $93,665.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
