Palmer Candy is looking for a day shift Scheduler at our Hwy 75 location.
Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, with overtime hours scheduled frequently during busy season on Friday and Saturday.

Job Summary:
The Repack Scheduler in conjunction with the Customer Service Department, Supply Chain, Plant Management and Purchasing areas will develop a workable production schedule for the repack department. The production schedule will be developed taking into consideration line capabilities.
The successful individual must be a self-motivated partner supporting production operations, be committed to achieving minimal downtime related to product schedule and drive continuous improvement.
Promotes an environment for open and timely communication and actively enlists input from others and responds to others respectfully.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Sorting through the Production schedule and organizing orders in a spreadsheet by pick/ship dates. Checking supplies (film, cases, product) as you put them in the spreadsheet to ensure we have them in time to produce orders.
Communicating with Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Coordinator about missing supplies to see when missing supplies will arrive.
Scheduling orders on production lines as efficiently as possible considering product allergens, sanitary washes, supply availability, personnel availability, and capabilities of equipment.
Communicate with logistics coordinator on possible order shipping shortages.
Communicate with Day/Night shift supervisors which lines need to be ran to complete orders to meet pick/ship dates.
Communicate schedule changes with Floor Supervisor/Lead, Feed Floor Lead, Forklift Drivers and Film Handler.
Ability to verbally communicate proficiently in English to effectively engage with internal teams. Applicant must be proficient in reading and understanding English-language manuals, equipment, instructions, and other documents relevant to the role.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills interacting with all levels of staff, including hourly workforce and senior management.
Proficiency in MS Office required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma
Experience with ERP Software (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
General office conditions
Able to work with and on a computer most of the day
Seldom to occasional lifting
Sitting for long periods of time
Able to enter production areas
