Must maintain licensure in State of Mississippi as a Medical Radiation technologist (Required)
Must complete 24 hours of continuing education as approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist every 2 years
Proficient in CT scanning (preferred)
Education:
High School Diploma Required
Certification and/or diploma from an accredited school of Radiologic Technologists (Required)

7:00p- 7:00a
7 on, 7 off
Includes every other weekend

Position Summary:
To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Properly records entries on Radiology and Hospital Information System.
Receives and interprets requests and/or instructions for radiological procedures.
Operates computer and radiological equipment for image production and documentation.
Performs quality control measures to ensure optimal quality of images.
Follows professional code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Assists with maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Performs clerical duties related to scheduling of radiological procedures.
Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Attend and participate in in-service education programs as directed or scheduled.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility staff
Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
The Radiologic Technologist must have the ability to move around freely, walk and stand for long periods of time; use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; bend or twist their body; understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand; and see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and at a distance.
