POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Analyst will provide analytical support for warehouse, operations, and transportation functions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role is responsible for updating and maintaining the Esri system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete the daily routing process for all three branches using Esri to accomplish the highest transportation service with the lowest cost.
Responsible for updating and maintaining data in Esri.
Dispatch drivers and coordinate donor scheduling / pickups / load planning
Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities.
Develop daily/monthly reporting, in addition to Ad-Hoc queries and reports when needed.
Summarize and analyze key operational metrics on a daily/weekly basis
Identify areas of opportunity to cut cost without jeopardizing service
Work with warehouse manager to communicate inventory transfers.
Import orders from inventory database.
Assist Supply Chain Director by providing analytical support in the warehouse and operations area.
Assist Director of Transportation and Distribution Logistics Manager as needed in other areas of Fleet Operations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
Perform other related duties and/or responsibilities as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations/Logistics or related area.
Previous success working with Transportation, Routing and Fleet Management Systems such as PeopleNet, Appian, etc.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team Environment.
Excellent Customer Focus
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proven success in employing analytics to achieve efficiencies within the logistics/distribution arena.
Demonstrated understanding of principles of Logistics and Distribution
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The starting salary range for this position is $48,168 - $60,210, based on skills and experience.
This position’s working Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status and retain benefits.
This position is based out of our West Suburban Center (Geneva) location.
