Job Description

Job Title: Account Intern

Department: Account

Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 Hourly

Who We Are:

SRG is an advertising agency and brand consultancy that works across the entire lifecycle of a brand. We are a mid-sized, privately held company headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, but embrace a hybrid working model. We are proudly majority women owned and led, and we have been named a Best Place to Work by Outside Magazine and AdAge.

Our Approach:

We approach challenges as a creative collective that pursues meaning by bringing together strategic minds, empathetic souls, and elegant sensibility to help brands find their unique place in culture. As a full-service agency and world-renowned consultancy in one, we are uniquely positioned to solve our clients’ problems through consumer insights, brand strategy, new product innovation, brand positioning, design, and advertising. Our advertising agency is supported with robust creative, digital, media, and analytics

Position:

SRG is looking for a motivated Account Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in brand strategy and marketing execution. Ideal candidates are upper-level undergraduates studying marketing, advertising, or communications.

You’ll support account managers with project coordination, client communication, and the development of integrated marketing programs. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a collaborative, can-do attitude.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position under the guidelines set by the FLSA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who will:

Expertly balance their undergraduate studies (as a junior or above) in the areas of marketing, advertising, and/or communications with an internship position in account management.

Assist our account managers with specific client objectives, including the development and execution of client marketing programs such as advertising, promotions, interactive, design, media, and/or research to support the ongoing direction of the account.

Provide administrative support to the account team and clients, with tasks such as assisting in project management, preparing traffic schedules, coordinating meetings and production requests, assisting in marketing presentations, organizing essential details, and documenting key points and action items from each meeting.

Effectively communicate, both internally and externally, by phone, in person, and through written communication via Microsoft Teams, Hive and email.

Possess strong analytical skills, excellent organization, initiative, and a sense of curiosity.

Be self-motivated and a self-starter, taking initiative with the ability to successfully work independently to contribute to a team or project in a hybrid / remote environment.

Occasionally lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.

The duties and descriptions listed in this job description are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.

Travel Requirements:

SRG has a hybrid work environment; given the duties of this role, this position may require hours onsite in our downtown Boulder office. We offer a flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week during the summer, and if business needs allow, potentially 20-25 hours per week in the fall.

Required Skills:

A strong, evolving academic background with an interest in pursuing a career in the brand innovation, advertising, or marketing research fields.

Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Customer service orientation, with the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and senior management in a positive and professional manner.

A self-motivated and enthusiastic hands-on approach to tasks; willingness to learn, collaborate effectively, and roll-up your sleeves to help.

Demonstrated proficiency to focus on details, manage through ambiguity, juggle multiple priorities, and remain highly organized under pressure and time constraints.

Some flexibility to work beyond standard office hours to meet client deadlines.

Required Education and Experience:

Current student at a college or university.

Office work experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

While performing duties, you may be regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, and walk. You may need to lift and/or move packages up to 50 pounds. Our SRG office is climate controlled, wheelchair assessable, and inclusive to all. We pride ourselves in our human forward approach and will happily discuss any accommodations necessary.
