SUMMARY:
VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Quality – Receiving CMM. The Quality – Receiving CMM Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials—including metals, PCBs, and precision components—using both manual and automated methods. A key focus of this role is operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform dimensional inspections per mechanical drawings and specifications. This position supports the Production and Engineering teams by identifying non-conforming materials and maintaining accurate inspection records in compliance with AS9100/ISO standards and internal quality procedures.Requirements:

Perform incoming inspection of metals, PCBs, and components using hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin/thread gauges) and CMM equipment.
Program and operate CMM to inspect parts per engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Interpret mechanical drawings, datasheets, and customer specifications to validate part conformity.
Record inspection data and maintain detailed documentation in quality systems.
Identify and segregate non-conforming materials; issue and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCMRs).
Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to the Quality Manager, Engineering, and Purchasing.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, and customer requirements.
Support internal and external audits as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area in alignment with 5S practices.
Participate in quality meetings and continuous improvement activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical or manufacturing technology is a plus.
Minimum three (3) years of CMM programming and electronics inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (other machine experience will be considered).
Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscopes, pin gauges, and thread gauges.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
Proficient with PC-based data entry and maintaining inspection records.
Functional knowledge of IPC-A-610; and familiarity with J-STD-001 is a plus.
Printed circuit board inspection to IPC-A-610 Class 1, 2, and 3.
Electronic component identification and verification.
Ability to interpret electronic configuration drawings, product datasheets, and written work instructions.
Understanding of ESD procedures, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards.
Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to interact effectively with others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear and foot protection.
Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs.
Full-time
