POSITION SUMMARYAs a Product Manager at U.S Autoforce (USAF), you will be responsible for developing a portfolio of reporting and analytical solutions that provide business value and impact by identifying, planning and delivering insights driven use cases. You will act as a gatekeeper of the product backlog and accept work in alignment with the strategy, vision, and values of USAF. This position will work closely with USAF Product Owner to set priorities for the team, ensuring clear focus on deliverables, manage stakeholder expectations.
The Product Manager will partner with the Data & Analytics team to plan project tasks, deliverables, and launch/support plans and will hold the team accountable and responsible for the overall quality of work delivered as well as time to delivery. Additionally, the role will plan & leverage data insights, statistical techniques, and data science to effectively identify, prioritize and create data driven solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develop strategy and vision for business analytics platform with a focus on enabling solution outcomes which drive and impact business value
Define the scope of the work necessary to meet the needs of the customer
Translates product backlog/roadmap epics into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
Prepares stakeholders for data and analytics team product delivery and ensures support models are established and executed
Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integration, and dependencies.
Assess metrics, customer insights and analysis to improve capabilities and refine roadmap
Provides direction to the data and analytics team and stakeholders throughout the project
Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
Collaborates with data and analytics team to build an agile culture
Coordinates roadmap delivery with other area product owners/product managers

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science, MIS, or related field
Certification as a Agile Product Owner from a recognized source such as PMI, Scrum Alliance, or SAFe is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
Solid understanding of the product lifecycle
Ability to create and communicate business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
Ability to learn various business processes across various functional areas, partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions
Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
Experience leading successful design & implementation of end to end solution platforms
