Salary:
Purchasing Agent
Manage and execute contract agreements as directed.
Assist in resolving issues and conflicts related to purchasing activities.
Maintain all applicable databases used in developing the cost and quantity estimates.
Communicate completed estimates to internal customers.
Manage relationships and vendor negotiations to include open order status updates.
Review bid proposals, bidding history, and other relevant information to determine which vendors should be awarded jobs.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure they meet their obligations in a timely manner.
Work with key stakeholders in processing their requisitions including sourcing materials and services from vendors.
Negotiate prices with vendors to ensure that costs are within budget limits.
Manage inventory shortage list by placing orders with suppliers when necessary and as directed by management.
Coordinate shipping of orders through third-party carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and Trucking Services.
Work with all the departments management to keep track of purchase order requests and invoices to ensure that all invoices have been paid.
To conduct him/herself in the spirit of the ARS mission, vision, core values and organizational health.
Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
The number of potential vendors varies and may be small; therefore, the employee will be required to evaluate price differentials that reflect important factors (quality, delivery dates and places, etc.) to select the appropriate vendor.
Buyer/Planner with ERP experience and Microsoft tools is a plus.
Work with vendor Certificates of Conformance and various forms of ERP documentation storage.
Follow policy and procedures and work instruction indicated by the company Quality Management System (QMS).
Placing, monitoring and ensuring purchase orders timely delivery to include automated tool crib vending machine system inventories.
Follow up with purchase due dates and product outside processing deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
