As the chef of Alden, you will be leading kitchen operations, developing menus, preparing top-notch dishes, managing staff, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Planning and Development:
Responsible for creating menus, considering seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and dietary restrictions.
Food Preparation:
Oversee the preparation of all dishes, ensuring they meet quality and presentation standards.
Staff Management:
Manage and train kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
Inventory Management:
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
Quality Control:
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation, and address any issues or customer complaints.
Hygiene and Safety:
Enforce strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Recipe Development:
Tasked with developing new recipes, and experimenting with flavors and techniques.
Cost Control:
Responsible for managing food costs, portion sizes, and waste reduction.
Delegating Tasks:
Be able to delegate tasks to other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.

Teamwork and communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet for long periods.
Must have or be able to acquire an AZ Food Handlers card from an accredited program.
Must be able to reliably commute to work.
Certification in the culinary arts is a bonus.
Previous experience as a chef in a high-end, creative restaurant.
