Welder Pay - Starts at $23.00 per hour

Broadwind Heavy Fabrications has openings in our Industrial Fabrications division for welder/fabricators. We have openings on 1st shift from 5am-3pm and 2nd shift from 3pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday. We offer a $1.00 per hour shift premium for hours worked on 2nd shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)

Use of blue prints, tape measure, and mathematical skills

Inspect part prior to fit and ensure proper alignment

Ensure orientation of part is correct

Visually inspect part prior to fitting to ensure proper conformance

Visually inspect joint for cleanliness and depth

Fit parts, while keeping within specification

Weld flat and horizontal GMAW

Weld flat horizontal and vertical flux core

Clean part after welding

Operate overhead crane; Properly inspect rigging equipment and use proper rigging technique

Complete operator sign-off

Record job and section in time matrix

Follow all EHS policies in order to work safely; fully engage in behavioral based safety initiatives

You should be proficient in:

High School / GED

Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

MIG Welder

Stick Welder

Flux-Cored Arc Welder

Salary info:

$23 - $30 / hr
