Combo Welder

Job Summary:

The Combo Welder will be responsible for performing various types of welds across different projects, ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety. This role requires versatility in welding techniques and a thorough understanding of blueprints and welding symbols.Responsibilities:

Perform welding from various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, or overhead) and must be proficient in multiple types of welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux Core).

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the setup requirements, sequence of operations, and required methods and materials.

Measure and examine completed workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Maintain detailed records of work orders and materials used.

Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.

Prepare materials for welding, including selecting, cutting, and shaping metal based on project needs.

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws and ensure that repair welds meet stringent standards.

Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Combo Welder with proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding.

Technical training and certification in welding from a recognized institution.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in different positions.
