Acts as the instructional leader, manager, and administrative advocate for each school within a defined geographic region consisting of high schools, their feeder schools, and associated alternative and special education facilities.

Qualifications
Required
Master's degree.
Eight (8) years of experience in elementary or secondary school administration, some of which shall have been at the principal level or in senior management within an educational organization.
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to assignment.
Endorsement in administration and supervision Prek-12.
Knowledge of PreK-12 principles and practices of public school administration
Knowledge of administrative methods and techniques.
Knowledge of research and current trends in public school education.
Ability to direct and coordinate the activities of a region of schools.
Ability to supervise the work of others.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to develop an effective working relationship with the school and department staff, governmental leaders, outside advocacy groups, and community members.
Preferred
Doctoral degree.
