CNC Specialist

Perform complex set-ups including creating CNC Programs, take a part from print to first piece:

Input the product design into the computer modeling software.

Decipher CMM Printouts and apply correct adjustments to keep part in spec.

Build basic fixtures for production.

Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the job.

Adjust machine settings to desired specifications.

Setup work area for efficient material flow.

Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, quality control or others to resolve machining problems and optimize programs and tooling

Complete gage room documentation for first piece approval

Possess a complete knowledge of machine tool and control functions

Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing

Train employees to operate CNC equipment and set-up basics

Complete or update setup instructions and/or work instructions, tooling sheets, etc.
