Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of alarm systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess experience and understanding of security and fire alarm systems.
Duties
Install, configure, and maintain alarm systems according to specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and testing of alarm systems to ensure functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions in a timely manner.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for system design and installation.
Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, and other equipment for installation and maintenance tasks.
Document all service activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
Provide excellent customer service while communicating technical information clearly.
Skills
Security and Fire Alarm systems experience.
Low voltage electrical experience.
Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
Experience in system design related to alarm systems.
Background as a service technician or field service experience is preferred.
Electrical knowledge with the ability to work with various electrical components.
Drivers license.
Strong communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
Fire Alarm license is preferred but not required.
