Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented Civil Engineer with experience in public works and stream-related projects to join our dynamic team. This role works closely with other senior engineers, our streams team, and clients to design, develop, and implement civil engineering projects that provide practical, effective solutions for community and environmental needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in planning, designing, and managing infrastructure and environmental improvement efforts. The position will be based in our Seattle office.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including streams projects, roads, bridges, water/wastewater systems, drinking water systems, and other infrastructure projects.

Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirements.

Prepare, develop and review technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.

Perform calculations and analyses to support project designs.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Manage the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.

Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in civil engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

5+ years of experience in public works and stream projects.

Experience in business development is a plus, particularly in building client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
