JOB SUMMARYThe Financial Analyst will be a strategic and analytical business partner who adds value by driving thoughtful, timely and accurate financial and data insights. This person will be responsible for supporting project margin management, cost variance analysis and reporting through relevant financial statements. As this individual takes on more responsibility, they will have the opportunity to be involved in process improvement projects, Engineered Solutions strategic growth in forecasting and budgeting and monthly operating reports to CPM leaders.
This role is a hybrid schedule. Must be within driving distance of Blaine, MN. Relocation assistance not available for this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support accurate and timely tracking and reporting of the financial for significant projects
Actively identify ways to eliminate non-value added work and leverages automation whenever possible
Variance analysis for project cost and expenses
Contribute to and support decision-making processes through reporting and analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
An aptitude for managing detailed data and analyses into concise, thoughtful executive summaries
A high level of curiosity and ability to thoughtfully and respectfully question assumptions
Knowledge of project financial management concepts and Percentage of Completion revenue recognition
1-3 years of experience in finance related field
Experience supporting and communicating with business partners with concise summary of financial results and project progress and variances
Though not mandatory, possessing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is beneficial. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills including v-lookups, pivots, sumifs, and complex formula
Experience supporting all financial statements
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
Self-motivated, curious, proactive individual who constantly seeks improvement opportunities
Demonstrated ability to work across functions and with all levels of management
Ability to work independently and as a member of cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a variety of audiences
Experience with advanced financial planning tools such as Oracle or Adaptive Planning, and global ERP’s, preferred
Strong aptitude for working with large data sets, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, preferred

Base Salary - $ 65,000 – 75,000k USD Annually.
