Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, and deployment of advanced control systems for high-tech industrial automation and robotics projects.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of integrating complex hardware and software systems, ensuring precise and reliable operation across robotic and material handling platforms. Ideal for engineers who thrive on innovation and want to shape cutting-edge automation solutions.

What Youll Do:

Partner with multidisciplinary teams to architect controls solutions for robotic and material handling systems

Design and debug PLC and HMI software (primarily Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms)

Develop control logic for robotic motion, precision tasks, and integrated safety systems

Interface sensors, actuators, and communication protocols to enhance system performance

Execute commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting for system installations

Support field service teams during installations and service visits

Translate conceptual designs and schematics into functional control systems

Lead complex design reviews and knowledge transfer on controls best practices

Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve cross-functional technical challenges

Stay informed on industry innovations, tools, and trends to improve system capabilities

Recommend improvements for productivity, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction

What You Bring:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar field

7+ years of experience in controls engineering

Strong expertise in PLC programming using Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms

Background in functional safety programming (5+ years)

IO-Link experience preferred

Experience in system integration or material handling environments highly valued

Ability to interpret schematics and create control panel layouts using AutoCAD

Willingness to travel up to 10% annually for site support and commissioning
