Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Azure) opening for our client in Cincinnati, OH.
Location: Remote for now, may have to relocate to Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 8 months
Duties:
Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures on Azure Databricks.
Optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure efficiency in data processing, storage, and retrieval.
Utilize Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Azure-native services to build high-performance data solutions.
Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within Azure environments.
Troubleshoot and fine-tune Spark jobs for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Azure Databricks and Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse).
Expertise in Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline design.
Solid knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance within cloud environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and distributed data systems.
Proven track record of designing and optimizing scalable data architectures.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00/hour to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
