Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-performance analog integrated circuits (e.g., amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators).
Simulate, verify, and validate circuit performance to meet specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with digital designers, layout engineers, and system architects to integrate analog/digital components.
Innovate through research and implementation of advanced design techniques and emerging technologies.
Mentor junior engineers, encouraging continuous learning and technical development.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design processes.
Support testing, characterization, and debugging of analog ICs alongside the test engineering team.
Document design specifications, methodologies, and results in a clear and comprehensive manner.Requirements:
Education: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on CMOS analog/mixed-signal IC design.
Experience:
10+ years in analog or mixed-signal IC development (PhD experience may be considered).
Successful tape-out experience with leading foundries.
Strong expertise in OpAmps, bandgap circuits, voltage/current references.
Proficiency with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics) and analog design methodologies.
Hands-on experience from design to high-volume production.
Experience with FinFET nodes and system-level AMS design.
Strong grasp of analog concepts: mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power/noise techniques.
Preferred Skills:
Data converter (ADC/DAC) design.
Memory design or in-memory computing circuit design.
AMS design and verification methodology.
Soft Skills:
Ability to innovate and meet customer requirements with new architecture solutions.
Self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented, especially in a startup environment.
