POSITION SUMMARY:
The Installer will be responsible for fundamental installations of DAS-Distributed Antenna System solutions as it relates to Radio Frequency in the 700MHz to 39GHz range. Testing and integration of these systems for voice and data to include 4G applications is an essential component to the everyday expectations.
This will include radio frequency collection, data and building analysis, collecting drawings, composing scaled sketches, taking pictures, climbing, working on ladders, working on rooftops, completing site surveys, preparing work orders BOM, RFQ, generating reports, utilizing spectrum analyzers, lifting heavy materials (50 lbs or more), drilling, mounting, caulking, bolting, fishing of various cables and specifying equipment of various types that are radio frequency compliant for public safety, 4G & 5G networks.
The successful candidate will work in the field supporting the In-Building team and designated project lead as necessary.
A good understanding of 4G & 5G; fiber equipment, repeaters, coax, connectors, jumpers, BDAs, CAT6, couplers, diplexers, power dividers, transmitters, antennas, wattmeters, spectrum analyzers and a general system hierarchy for LTE and 5G NR is a necessary component of the installer's objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install Coaxial and other related low voltage telecom cables, including 1/4 and 1/2 inch rigid coax and PIM rated compression connectors. RF sweep testing and PIM testing experience a plus.
Execute In-Building installation plans that meet the needs of our In-Building clients.
Conduct site visits to review and gather materials needed for In-Building installation & designs
Work with internal and external parties to clarify coaxial requirements, installation priorities, and installation time-table, and to appropriately meet expectations and commitments.
Work with internal and external resources (clients, vendors, etc.) to ensure that all the needs of and commitments to the In-Building clients are met, while preventing, and resolving problems as needed.
Regularly communicating status, issues, and expectations to Leads, Management and Senior Managers on a regular basis.
Maintain excellent relationships with co-workers, clients and partners involved in the delivery process.
Provide feedback to the Lead Installer, Operations Supervisor, Field Supervisor, Senior Managers, to improve the company's on-going in-building business practices, operational procedures.
Provide a written daily account of In-Building project(s) successful candidate is leading (status report).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School, Associate 2 year degree in Technical or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required, low voltage or Bicsi certification is a plus.
1-2 years of hands-on coaxial installation experience
1-2 years of hands-on wireless systems installation experience
2-4 years of demonstrated knowledge on installation techniques and best practices.
A basic understanding of Distributed Antenna Systems to identify and resolve problems related to voice and data RF metrics.
Working knowledge of SOLiD, ADRF, Commscope & Corning Mobile Access or Everon equipment
0-1 years of demonstrated knowledge on LTE & 5G NR systems
1-2 years of experience installing, fusion splicing and OTDR testing of single mode fiber.
1-2 years of documented & verifiable installation experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School, Associate or other Technical degree
Coaxial installation experience
Minimum of 2 years installing low voltage cables including single mode fiber and fusion splicing and OTDR testing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Valid and current driver's license required with clean driving record.
Ability to pass in depth CBP background check.
