Sr. Acoustics Simulation Engineer

Job Description

Objective of the Position: This position analyzes acoustic performance of passenger vehicle exhaust systems based on customer provided engine models through design and simulation before proceeding to prototype builds and physical testing.

Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

Acoustics Simulation (design and data analysis) of exhaust systems (50%)

Vehicles testing using chassis dynamometer

Implementing exhaust tuning to the product team

Assist on data acquisition and instrumentation

Produce reports to the Design Team of simulation data

Mesh structural exhaust components for NVH analysis

Attend program meetings

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.

Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.

Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

B.S. in Engineering. MBA preferred.

Minimum one to three years’ experience in acoustics position in the automotive industry.

Data acquisition testing (input and output).

Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
