Sanitation Technician

Job Description

Our recruitment partner is currently hiring a Sanitation Technician for a food manufacturing facility located in Sussex, WI. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. The schedule follows a rotating 2-2-3 shift from 5:50 AM to 6:00 PM, and the starting pay rate is $21.00 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for this role.

Responsibilities

Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Clean and sanitize plant equipment as required

Use appropriate personal protective equipment and cleaning agents safely

Comply with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures

Reference and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Maintain sanitation standards throughout the facility, both indoors and outdoors

Coordinate with other departments to execute sanitation schedules effectively

Collect and dispose of waste materials, including cardboard, plastic, and wastewater

Collaborate with team members to minimize production downtime

Support a safe work environment by reporting equipment or safety concerns

Ensure proper labeling and staging of finished goods for shipping

Maintain accurate and thorough operator logs

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

Basic math and computer literacy preferred

Capable of standing for 12-hour shifts

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Strong attention to detail
