DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Payroll Coordinator's overall responsibility is processing payroll and assisting in various other accounting functions.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Accounting Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Processing payroll and assisting in various other accounting functions.
Organizes and performs payroll activities.
Inputs data accurately, timely, and efficiently.
Resolves any pay discrepancies in a timely manner.
Corrects time reporting errors.
Distributes Payroll reports, as requested.
Is knowledgeable of and implements policies and procedures, standards, and guidelines as regards to assigned duties.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma with some college preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience with computerized payroll processing. Experience with McKesson Time and Attendance and Paragon preferred..
Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel; Advanced mathematical skills
Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or employee. Ability to deal with highly confidential information.
Ability to define and solve problems individually. Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work may require a variety of physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stooping.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
The work environment may be physically confining.
Work may require overtime to process payroll due to unexpected challenges with the computer system or other issues.
