SITE FOREMAN

Our client is a growing, industry-leading excavating company seeking to hire an experienced Site Foreman. The role involves all aspects of excavation, including demolitions, water and sewer connections/disconnections, and comprehensive development and excavation planning. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch. The operator reports to Ramapo, NY location - Job locations vary across Orange, Rockland, and Westchester Counties.

Responsibilities:

-Plan and manage projects

-Implementing and maintaining extreme safety measures on the job and for the site crew

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

-Direct, train, and manage laborers, and coordinate projects with all contractors

-Operate excavators, skid steers, graders, loaders, rollers, and forklifts

-Oversee quality control in the overall installation and repair processes

-Maintain a proven track record of safe operation of heavy excavating equipment

-Provide regular reports and status updates and keep on top of paperwork as needed

Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in excavation/construction

-Physically fit for duty, including the ability to bend, stand, climb, and lift

-Familiarity with below-ground installations and repairs, including various types of pipe placements

-Minimum of 10-hour OSHA certification course

-Ability to travel to job sites within Orange, Rockland, and Westchester County

-Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering plans

-Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to effectively direct laborers and coordinate project resources

-Mechanical knowledge is a plus
