Fabricator
We have a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Stainless-Steel Metal Fabricator to join a leader in the cheese packaging industry in Monticello, WI. The Stainless-Steel Metal Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing stainless-steel components used in food processing and packaging equipment. This role involves working with various tools and techniques to ensure that all metal structures meet standards for food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history, demonstrating their ability to fulfill this position.
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm, M-F
Pay: $28.00-$35 per hour depending on experience, + weekly goals that can reach up to $2.00 additional per hour

Fabricator responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for metal fabrication
Measure, cut, bend, and shape stainless steel sheets, plates, and pipes using various tools and equipment
Assemble and weld metal components to form structures and machinery
Install fabricated stainless-steel components and systems in accordance with safety and quality standards
Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing stainless-steel equipment and structures
Ensure all installations comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Inspect and test fabricated components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards
Identify and address any defects or issues in the fabrication process
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs
Ensure all fabricated components comply with food safety and hygiene regulations
Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production staff to ensure seamless integration of fabricated components
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status, issues, and requirements
Fabricator Requirements:
Proven experience in stainless steel metal fabrication, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment
Experience with welding (TIG, MIG), cutting, grinding, and other metalworking techniques
Strong knowledge of stainless properties and metal fabrication techniques
Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and blueprints
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations related to food processing
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various physical conditions
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
